They are the subject of J.P. Bean’s excellent local history The Sheffield Gang Wars. For those of you who have never had the chance to read Bean’s book, it tells the story of the rise and fall of the Sheffield gangs, a tale of vice, villainy and violence on the mean streets of South Yorkshire.
